Singapore Malay Chamber President Meets High Commissioner to Explore Trade
President of Singapore Malay Chamber Mr. Abu Bakar Mohd Nor, called on the High Commissioner today. The discussion focused on exploring trade opportunities between the two countries.
The High Commissioner highlighted Pakistan’s premier Halal food market, emphasizing its potential to become a steady source of food supply for Singapore. She outlined the immense prospects for collaboration in the food industry, services sector, and digital economy. She also briefed him on the recent exchange of business delegations and stressed the need for greater cooperation in services sector, especially Business Process Outsourcing and of IT and financial services to Pakistan.
She also elaborated the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in enhancing business environment and improving ease of doing business in Pakistan.
President Abu Bakar expressed keen interest in visiting Pakistan with a business delegation to further strengthen business exchanges between the two countries.
