Temasek Foundation donates 100 Oxygenators to Pakistan to combat COVID-19

Following a donation of 10,000 test kits for COVID-19 in May, Temasek Foundation (TF) has now donated 100 units of Yuwell Oxygen Concentrators/Oxygenators to Pakistan.  The consignment of these Oxygenators was shipped by Temasek Foundation from China and was delivered to NDMA, Karachi on 11 September 2020.

These Oxygenators are registered for use in Pakistan and our healthcare professionals are familiar with their use. These have been widely deployed in Singapore to manage lung function of infected patients as these ensure faster recovery with minimum chances of the need for use of ventilators. Oxygenators can be used outside ICUs and allow hospitals to better manage their caseloads.

The donation was offered by Temasek Foundation in a letter addressed to the Foreign Minister by Mr. Benedict Cheong, Chief Executive, Temasek Foundation International, the capacity building arm of Temasek Holding. The delivery of consignment followed official acceptance conveyed to Temasek Foundation. The donation would help strengthen the capacity of front-line hospitals in Pakistan in their combat against COVID-19 pandemic.
