A flag hoisting ceremony was held at Pakistan High Commission, Singapore, to commemorate 74^th Independence Day of Pakistan. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mission restricted the gathering to High Commission’s staff only.

Acting High Commissioner Ms. Farhana Asif hoisted the flag to the tune of National Anthem following which the messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out. The messages applauded the efforts of doctors and paramedic staff as well as the organizations that played a pivotal role in combatting COVID-19.  The resolve to stand firmly behind our Kashmiri brethren in their struggle for the right to self-determination and commitment to sensitize the international community of grave human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJ&K) were reiterated. The ceremony ended with prayers for security, stability, and economic prosperity of the country in line with the vision of our founding fathers.
