A flag hoisting ceremony was held at Pakistan House Singapore, to commemorate 81st National Day of Pakistan. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mission restricted the gathering for National Day only to the employees and their families.

High Commissioner Ms. Rukhsana Afzaal hoisted the flag to the tune of National Anthem following which Ms. Farhana Asif, Deputy High Commissioner read out the messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The ceremony ended with prayers for security, stability and economic prosperity of the country. Special prayers were offered for an early end of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

A special supplement was carried by the Business Times, Singapore on Pakistan Day with an interview of the High Commissioner and a write-up on Pakistan’s tourism potential. The supplement was sponsored by renowned members of Pakistani community and Habib Bank Ltd.
