The High Commissioner of Pakistan, Ms. Rukhsana Afzaal, delivered a keynote address at a workshop organized by the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), focusing on Pakistan’s significant contributions to UN Peacekeeping operations globally.

In her address, the High Commissioner highlighted Pakistan's long-standing commitment to international peace and security, noting that Pakistan remains one of the largest troop-contributing countries to UN missions. She emphasized the courage and professionalism of Pakistani peacekeepers who operate in some of the most challenging environments to maintain stability and uphold human rights.

"Pakistan’s commitment to UN Peacekeeping is a cornerstone of our foreign policy, reflecting our dedication to a rules-based international order," the High Commissioner stated during the session.

The workshop, attended by academics, diplomats, and policy experts, provided an in-depth analysis of the evolving nature of peacekeeping operations and the vital role played by Pakistan in facilitating humanitarian efforts and peace-building processes worldwide.
