27 October Kashmir Black Day | Indian Illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir
27th October is observed as a Black Day by Kashmiris across the world to mark the day in 1947 when Indian forces landed in Srinagar to occupy Jammu and Kashmir against the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
The High Commission of Pakistan in Singapore joins the Kashmiri diaspora and the people of Pakistan in expressing solidarity with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters who continue to suffer under illegal occupation.
Background
The occupation remains one of the longest-standing unresolved issues on the agenda of the UN Security Council. We continue to call for a peaceful resolution in accordance with the relevant Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
